The NMSU Online Student Program Coordinator will help identify a program or programs that support you in meeting your goals. Once that happens, you will work with the appropriate advisor refine your plan, identify the courses you need to take and when to take them.
For all Out-of-state students and In-state students interested in Bachelor’s programs, the Center for Academic Advising and Student Support (CAASS) advises all the undergraduate (UG) students. The NMSU Online Student Program Coordinator is your liaison to your UG academic advisor. The CAASS advisors do online advising during regular business hours of Monday – Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM Mountain Standard Time.
For all students, the NMSU Online Student Program Coordinator will connect you to the appropriate graduate program advisor at the departmental level. Initial advising will be provided by the graduate program point of contact. Once you are accepted into the online graduate program you will continue to be advised by this person or another faculty member.
For In-state students interested in online programs offered through one of the NMSU Community Colleges, the NMSU Online Student Program Coordinator will connect you to the appropriate advisor for the program or programs of interest. Each campus provides advising services with people trained to work with online students.
