NMSU Online serves students intending to earn a credential or degree either 100% online or via a hybrid or ITV program offered by the Las Cruces campus or one of the NMSU Community Colleges. Visit Degree Programs or Program Search.

NMSU Online provides a one-stop directory of online, hybrid, and distance education programs at all levels – Certificate, Associate, Applied Science Associate, Bachelor, Master, Graduate Certificate, Endorsement, and Doctorate. Use the Program Search  to explore the many exciting opportunities.

All Out-of-state students intending to earn an online  credential or degree can apply to NMSU Online (Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate, Graduate Certificate) or to one of our community colleges (Certificates, Associates, Applied Associates). See Program Search.

A New Mexico resident intending to earn an online  credential or degree offered by one of the NMSU community colleges applies to that community college. See Program Search. New Mexico students intending to earn a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degrees, or Doctorate, or  Graduate Certificate offered through NMSU Online apply to NMSU Online. See Program Search.

For NMSU Online students, the flat per credit cost is based on whether you are an Undergraduate, Graduate or Active Duty Military student. The cost is calculated on a per credit basis. More information is available at Cost. Visit Program Search for cost calculations.

NMSU Online students do pay one-time institutional fees such as application, graduation, etc, and college, program, and or course fees.

The online cost for each NMSU community college varies by campus and whether or not a student is In-district, In-state, or Out-of-state. The community colleges charge tuition and fees separately. Visit Tuition and Fees. Visit Program Search for cost calculations.

Community college applications. There is a $20 one-time non-refundable Undergraduate Application Fee.

Undergraduate Before You Apply information. There is a $20 one-time non-refundable Undergraduate Application Fee.

Graduate Application information.There is a $40 one-time non-refundable Graduate Application Fee.

International Undergraduate  application information. There is a $20 one-time non-refundable Undergraduate Application Fee.  

International Graduate Students application information. There is a $50 one-time non-refundable application fee for International Graduate Students.

Students whose program and course schedules include online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses are students of that program’s or course’s home campus and not NMSU Online.
