Fully accredited by the Council on Education in Public Health (CEPH), our program is arranged so that you can fulfill your fieldwork component in the community where you live. Upon graduating, you’ll be eligible to take the national Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam.

The Bachelor of Public Health program prepares you to function as a successful professional in community health and public health settings.

In this program, you will:

  • Design an effective framework to evaluate public health programs.
  • Apply evidence-based solutions in real-world health scenarios.
  • Explore and work with social and behavioral science theories, models, and principles to enhance decision-making in public health issues.
  • Learn the application of epidemiology to screening infectious diseases, prevention, and policy development.

The BPH program consists of 120 credits. To earn this degree, you need to complete all University degree requirements, which include General Education requirements, Viewing a Wider World requirements, and elective credits, with 48 credits in courses numbered 300 or above.
