The Master of Information Technology is a non-thesis, fully online professional development degree. Led by expert faculty, our program has attracted IT professionals from all over the world, including Germany, India, and Afghanistan.

Some of the topics you’ll have the opportunity to study include system architecture, computer networking, cybersecurity, and virtual systems in IT decision-making. You’ll also advance your skills in the development and application of software tools. By the end of this flexible, affordable program, you’ll be well-equipped to thrive in a variety of IT-related careers.

The Master of Information Technology consists of 30 credits and offers Fall, Spring, and Summer starts. 

There are two paths to completing this program. If you already have a bachelor’s degree, you must simply complete 30 credits of graduate-level coursework in a traditional master’s program. To qualify for this path, you must have a bachelor’s degree in information technology (or a similar field) or complete three leveling courses.

If you haven’t earned an undergraduate degree yet, you may be eligible for the baccalaureate-to-master’s accelerated degree track. In this track, you’ll complete the first three years of an undergraduate baccalaureate program, either the BS in Information Engineering Technology or the BICT in Information and Communication Technology.

Upon approval from the Graduate School, you may apply up to 12 credits of courses numbered 450 and above to both your baccalaureate and M-IT degree as “dual credits.” You’ll begin taking these classes when you have junior or senior standing.
